Easter With Graphic 45!

I  Love, Love, Love Graphic 45! Had to share some of their beautiful work!
"Sweet Sentiments paper has such beautiful pastels and imagery for Easter, I knew I had to use it for my Easter brunch this year. The new Ivory ATC tags inspired me to create unique treat holders and a centerpiece basket for my table. Then the egg blossoms evolved due to a happy accident when I got the eggs home from the craft store. These are so much fun to make and look so pretty on my table! I hope you’ll give them a try." - Annette

More Graphic 45!

Absolutely Love This Had To Share!

Hello G45ers,
To quote Helen Keller, "So long as the memory of certain beloved friends lives in my heart, I shall say that life is good." This beautiful phrase is such a perfect summation of how it feels to reflect upon life's happy moments while creating art. We are reminded of how lucky we are to have such wonderful people in our lives. Creating layouts is a perfect way to participate in this joyful contemplation. Today we are going to share four gorgeous ideas for layouts that are sure to inspire you. These gorgeous crafts feature our two amazing new collections Bohemian Bazaar andSteampunk Spells. You'll see a wide range of ideas and techniques that are sure to get your creative gears turning! So lets get started!
First up is this jubilant Bohemian Bazaar LO by Alberto Juarez! This incredible creation displays so much depth and dimension. Alberto used the Bohemian Bazaar papers and Chipboard Die-Cuts to create stunning 3-D flowers. This LO is so captivating with its vivid colors and hypnotic designs. We also love Alberto's use of open spaces in this LO that help make the central image the primary focal point. This is such an amazing Bohemian Bazaar creation!

Next we have another sublime Bohemian Bazaar layout! This one was created by Clare Charvill and it also displays some gorgeous dimension! You can see how Clare layered and distressed the beautiful Bohemian Bazaar papers to give this LO a quaint vintage look. Then she added some fussy cut elements, Chipboard Die-Cuts and Stickers to give this LO extra beauty. This is a perfect example of how you can take a wonderful photo of a friend or family member and turn it into an unforgettable treasure that will last a lifetime! Here Clare explains how she created this heartwarming LO!

"I had great fun building up this layout round this picture of my sister.  Its one of my favourites, and goes so well with the vibrant colours in the Bohemian Bazaar paper collection.  I wanted the flowers to pop out of the page and follow the lines of the palms in the background so used two or three layers of foam tape behind the tag to lift it and then followed the line using pop dots to raise up the other elements. The brick effect on the paper was added using weathered wood distress ink and a brick wall mask placed randomly over the paper. There’s lots of layering through the layout combining all the colours in the collection which all work really well together. Alternate alpha stickers are raised up on foam tape to finish off the lay out. Love it. " - Clare

Next we are going to explore some gorgeous and fun ideas for Steampunk Spells layouts. We begin with this lavishly layered LO by Maria Cole. Just look at how perfectly all of the Steampunk Spells papers blend together! Maria created so much amazing dimension with lots of pretty papers, fussy cut elements, Chipboard Die-Cuts and flower embellishments. The result is this wonderfully whimsical work of art! Here Maria explains her inspiration behind this magical LO.

"I LOVE Steampunk Spells! The designs and imagery are simply the best for scrapbooking all of your Halloween photos. Unfortunately, I’m one of those boring people who stopped dressing up for Halloween ages ago, so I had to get creative in my search for the perfect photos to scrap. I remembered a trip my husband and I took to Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, Washington several years ago. Even though this is a beautiful resort and nothing like a haunted house, I still thought it would be fun to pretend as if we were having fun at a spooky inn. I fussy cut the insides from two Vintage Voyage photo mats to create photo frames, which prompted my idea to have a “steampunk photo booth” feel by applying some of the images from Mechanical Marvels. The final touch to my layout is a flower I assembled using the matching Flowers and Banners"-Maria

Here is another incredible LO featuring Steampunk Spells. This adorable creation was made by Romy Veul and it displays more gorgeous paper layering and paper distressing techniques. The precious central photo sets the tone for this enchanting LO, as fussy cut elements and lovely borders add pure enchantment. This is the perfect way to immortalize your most precious memories! Here is what Romy had to say about this sweet creation.
"The Steampunk Debutante collection is one of my all time favourites and I was really excited to see a new steampunk collection. The first minute I saw the Steampunk Spells collection, I immediately knew that I just had to cut out the gears from the “Clockworks” sheet. I positioned them on the background paper to create a frame form photo. I also incorporated some fussy cut hot-air balloons, butterflies and flowers to finish off my lay-out." -Romy

And now it's time for more fun and fabulous home decor ideas! First up is this superbly shabby chic hanging sign by Miranda that features A Ladies' Diary! This is such a beautiful and inventive way to create timeless home decor! Fussy cut elements, Graphic 45 Metal Key Holes and pretty ribbon add to the irresistible charm of this sweet creation! Add a few fun photos and you've got a perfect heartfelt gift idea! Whether you're creating this piece to add beauty to your own home, or giving it to a friend or family member, this adorable work of art is guaranteed to please! Here is what Miranda had to say about it!
"I am a huge fan of anything that has movement to it! So i love to create hanging signs of sorts. This is meant to house at least one photo in the frame at the bottom. But has space at the top for more. I wanted to have a vintage look, that was very feminine. So of course A Ladies Diary had to be used. I also added some Place in Time as well. I just love how you can find pieces to coordinate with anything you are using. I also just loved the big rose fussy cut at the top. I could fussy cut these papers all day!" -Miranda

Next up is another classic piece of handmade home decor. Behold this gorgeous altered washboard by Rhea! This is such a fun way to add new life to an old object! The rustic charm of French Country is just perfect for this beautiful project! It would look amazing in any room of the house! Rhea's creation also highlights some wonderful uses of theFrench Country cardstock Flowers! This amazing piece of home decor would be so much fun to create! Here Rhea explains how she made this glorious work of art!
"When I came across a collection of old washboards at an estate sale, I just knew I had to have one to alter.  Ever since I became a part of the Graphic 45 team, I have been on the hunt for vintage items with flat surfaces to alter with their scrumptious paper.  You will be surprised at what you can find at thrift stores, garage sales and estate sales if you pay attention. Since this was a very well used washboard, the surfaces were quite warped.  This caused me to have to embrace imperfection a little bit and also use a very wet glue application to get the paper to adhere.  The flowers were placed strategically to also cover imperfections in the piece.  With just a little bit of creative thinking you can alter just about anything to create a simple home décor piece." -Rhea

Here is another exquisite home decor creation that you're sure to love! Here is an amazing Bohemian Bazaar house that Nichola created with the Graphic 45 Small Matchbook Box! Don't you just love the bright and beautiful colors of Bohemian Bazaar? The joyful designs really shine in this hypnotic work of art! Look at how Nichola used the Graphic 45 Ornate Metal Keys to create a cute little fence around the house! Such a marvelous idea! This superb creation would add incredible cheer to any room! It is filled with so much imagination and vintage charm. Here is what Nichola had to say about it.
"A sweet little house created from the G45 Staples: Small Matchbook Box. The inside drawer of the matchbook becomes the base for the piece and the exterior boxed sleeve is transformed into a peak roofed house. I was going to create a scene inside the box, to be viewed through the ‘back window’, but I think there’s enough going on outside in the little yard where ‘Proud Priscilla’ stands. I love the idea of a giant keyhole door and the upsidedown ornate keyholes were just begging to be windows." -Nichola
